This article was published in the June 2023 edition of Warbirds magazine (EAA). The editor asked me to contribute my thoughts about flying these two iconic aircraft since I fly both regularly at Gatineau.
They each have their strong points, and I think the article lists them clearly.
I am not the world’s most experienced pilot on either type but it is a bit unusual to fly both; and I’ve flown the P-40 and the Hurricane as well; so perhaps my remarks have some insight.
